Mia Kalt offers individual and couples therapy services through Manhattan Wellness, a boutique therapy practice for young professionals based in New York City. Mia is currently licensed in New York and New Jersey as a Mental Health Counselor and accepting new patients. Mia supports young professionals, Mia understands that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. While she draws from various modalities such as person-centered, psychodynamic, narrative, DBT, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices, she is sure to check in with clients and tailor therapy to meet their needs. Mia is also a yoga instructor at Corepower Yoga in New York City and received her 200-hour training recognized by Yoga Alliance in 2023. Mia acknowledges the importance of mind-body connection and utilizes grounding practices in her yoga classes and therapy sessions. Mia received her Mental Health Counselor degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. While studying at Northwestern, Mia obtained valuable and extensive clinical training at Turning Point and The Family Institute. In her graduate training, Mia worked with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, body image, self-esteem, grief and loss, and life transitions while receiving supervision from renowned clinicians in the field. Mia also worked as a research assistant in the Mindfulness & Culture Lab at the Family Institute exploring the efficacy of RO-DBT, a cutting-edge modality for treatment-resistant populations. Mia holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
